The rules are the product

What the ticket contract enforces, and why a copied code is refused at the door.

The life of a ticket

  1. 01

    Created

The organizer deploys the event, its tiers and its rules.

  2. 02

    Bought

Minted into the fan's wallet at face value, within the per-wallet limit.

  3. 03

    Resold

Listed at or under the cap. Royalty and seller are paid in one step.

  4. 04

    Scanned

The door checks a rotating signed code and marks the ticket used.

  5. 05

    Kept

The used ticket becomes a souvenir that proves attendance.

Four rules, set once

Resale cap

A maximum resale price, 100 % to 150 % of face. Listings above it are refused.

42.00 × 110 % = max 46.20

Royalty

0 % to 10 % of every resale, paid to the organizer in the same transaction.

46.20 × 5 % = 2.31

Per-wallet limit

How many tickets one wallet may hold for the event. Slows bots.

Limit 4 → 5th refused

Souvenir

A collectible minted to the holder when the ticket is scanned in.

Scanned 20:14 → souvenir

Why a screenshot fails

Every 20 seconds the wallet signs a new code. The door accepts only the current one, signed by today's holder.

Questions

Do fans need to know anything about crypto?

No. In a real launch a wallet is created at checkout with an email. This demo simulates it in one click.

What if the door has no signal?

The check needs only the code and the event's public data, kept offline. Used tickets sync when the signal returns.

Can a fan get around the cap?

Paid transfers go through the capped marketplace. Off-platform deals leave the buyer with a code only the seller can sign.

What if a fan loses their phone?

They sign in on another device and the ticket is there. The old phone's codes stop working when they rotate.

Which standard do tickets use?

One ERC-721 collection per event, with transfer hooks for the cap and the royalty. Here it is simulated; nothing is deployed.
